2. What is the scope of work identified for this phase of the project?
The planning phase of the project began in January 2006. The current effort is centered around an extensive community awareness program to encourage citizens to present their issues and concerns. We are committed to listening carefully to what is being said, and to respond in a timely, factual, and accurate manner. In addition to the community awareness program, the planning phase includes the development of 30-percent design drawings, incorporating cost-effective mitigation measures identified during the planning process. Environmental documents summarizing information from the detailed biological assessment, noise, air, traffic/ transportation, visual, cultural resources, economic, and wetlands analysis will be prepared.
