16. Where will the intersections be placed along the Steptoe Street Extension and will there be stoplights or roundabouts?
Intersections are anticipated at Gage Blvd, Center Parkway/Center Blvd, Clearwater Avenue, 4th Avenue, and at the 5-corners area (10th Avenue, Clodfelter, Hildebrand).
The type of vehicle control to be provided at the intersections is currently being studied as part of the preliminary design of the Steptoe Street Extension project. Initial planning anticipates traffic signals at Gage Blvd and Clearwater Avenue, with roundabouts at Center Parkway/Center Blvd and at the 5-corners area (10th Avenue, Clodfelter, and Hildebrand). The intersection at Steptoe Street and 4th Avenue will remain stop sign controlled initially. Modification of the intersection of Clodfelter Road and 10th Avenue is anticipated.
