32. Will the Steptoe Street Extension have an impact on property values?
There is no historical evidence that projects such as the Steptoe Street Extension negatively impact property values. Property values are dependent on comparable sales, market conditions, and the curb appeal of the property. The Steptoe Street Extension involves the improvement of an existing right-of-way corridor that has been designated as a future roadway since the early 1970's, and was recorded on the subdivision plats of Kennewick Park and Meadow Springs. Copies of existing and proposed subdivision plats and commercial development plans in the area have been added to the Reference Information section on the website.
