43. Are property taxes going to increase as a direct result of the Steptoe Street Extension project?
Property taxes will not change as the result of the Steptoe Street Extension project. The Steptoe Street Extension project will be funded from the transportation budgets of the Cities of Kennewick and Richland, together with funds received from State and/or Federal grant agencies. Transportation funds generally come from gas tax revenues, and not property taxes.
